Waste & Recycling Strategies

Often required on larger scale development to enable local authorities to assess the adequacy of storage and collection arrangements. The Strategy presents the scheme proposals; considering local authority and other requirements as well as scheme design and developer preferences.

Life Cycle Assessments

Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), also known as a “cradle-to-grave” analysis, consider all stages of a product’s life, including the extraction, processing, manufacture, distribution, use, repair, maintenance and disposal. Increasingly, these assessments are required to demonstrate the environmental credentials of the built form and sustainability standards, such as BREEAM, reward higher levels of performance.

Sustainable Procurement Plan

The Sustainable Procurement Plan sets out a framework for the responsible sourcing of building materials to guide procurement throughout a project. The Plan contributes to the awarding of a credit under BREEAM.

Functional Adaptation Strategy

The Functional Adaptability study considers and encourages measures taken to accommodate future changes of use of the building over its lifespan. The plan contributes to the awarding of credits under BREEAM.
